Spelarna tävlar om att bli den mest kända arkitekten i Egypten sedan Imhotep, genom att transportera stenblock till fem olika byggplatser och resa monument vid fyra av dessa. Varje spelare vill att just deras stenar skall användas vid byggnationen eftersom varje sten är värd poäng, men hur och när poängen delas ut beror på vilket monument man hjälper till att bygga! Dessutom kan stenar som levereras till marknadsplatsen tillförse spelarna med hjälpsamma spelkort... Det är dock aldrig säkert att de stenar som man har lastat ombord på en båt når den byggnadsplats som man själv hade tänkt sig.
