Viticulture: Bordeaux (Exp.)

The Bordeaux alternative board expansion to Viticulture offers 4 full worker placement seasons, a wake-up chart full of benefits, new actions and revisions to existing actions, a trade market, and some face-up cards to choose from when drawing. Additionally, the back side of the board is the base Viticulture board, redesigned to include the face-up Vine Card and Wine Order markets introduced with Bordeaux. Automa Factory have designed a new solo mode compatible with this expansion.

The Bordeaux rulebook does a great job laying out some new elements of this expansion compared to Viticulture & Tuscany. One key change is the addition of the Hiring an Expert action. This utilizes a set of 4 tokens in your player color, which can be added to an unclaimed Expert space of your choice. When you take the action space associated with your Expert on future turns, you also gain the Expert benefit. These are subtle but powerful rule-bending opportunities to further enhance your engine.
