Arkham Horror: The Card Game (LCG) är ett äventyrligt samarbetsspel som lämpar sig precis lika bra i grupp som för en spelare, med en rekommendation på två!
Arkham Horror: The Card Game tar det kortdrivna äventyrandet från brädspelet (Arkham Horror: Third Edition) och plockar bort alla spelbräden, för att istället ersätta dem med fler spelkort. Ett av utgivarens största och mest populära spel inom genren Living Card Game; med det mer äventyrliga upplägget och omspelbarheten, samt att varje expansionspaket med nya kort har samma innehåll. Ett LCG handlar nämligen inte om att försöka samla eller byta spelkort mellan olika spelare, som i t.ex Magic: The Gathering och Pokémon, utan har istället fokus på spelmekaniken och upplevelsen.
Grundspelet Arkham Horror: The Card Game (Revised Core Set) räcker för att upp till fyra spelare ska kunna sätta sig ned med varsin väldigt unika kortlek och egna spelstil, när man tillsammans försöker besegra de kreatur och människor som ställer sig i ens väg för att lösa ett scenario. Spelet är mest rekommenderat för 1 eller 2 spelare, då det kan ta väldigt lång tid mellan spelrundorna när man är 3 eller 4 som spelar.
Äventyrsdelen expanderas dels genom mindre scenariopaket, dels genom kampanjexpansioner som innehåller flera sammanlänkade scenarier. I övrigt finns även karaktärspaket som lägger till nya spelkort att bygga kortlekar med. Men där finns även rekommendationer och listor för färdiga kortlekar, så att spelaren snabbt och enkelt istället kan lägga sin tid på att spela spelet, för de som inte är lika intresserade av kortleksbyggande.
Arkham Horror: The Card Game är inte särskilt komplicerat att lära sig och ett scenario går ganska snabbt att spela (för 1-2 spelare), och rekommenderas om man vill prova ett kortspel där fokus ligger på story och utforskande.
