Twelve famous adventurers are about to explore an ancient Mayan temple dedicated to Chac, the god of rain and thunder. The foreboding structure promises to contain priceless artifacts of the Mayan culture…but also lethal traps! Are you daring enough to enter the Temple of Chac? Designed by the ancient Mayans to discourage tomb robbers, the sacred Temple of Chac is full of deadly traps and obstacles through which every adventurer must pass. Upon entry, for example, the dauntless treasure-hunters must contend with crushing walls as they stock up on priceless jewelry, statues, ceremonial masks, and other prizes. But this is just one of the temple’s many perils. As they work their way through a sweltering lava room, raging river, and rickety bridge, each adventurer must gather as much treasure as they can find. Oh, and did we mention the massive rolling boulder that constantly threatens to crush them alive?

Further driving the tension of The Adventurers: The Temple of Chac is the game’s clever “load level” system, which determines how far an adventurer may move (and how many other actions he may perform) based on the amount of treasure he’s carrying. By piling on the treasure, you aren’t necessarily slowing yourself down...you’re just increasing the odds that you’ll have fewer actions to search for wealth, decipher glyphs, and run for your life!
