K2: Lhotse (Exp.)

K2: Lhotse is an addition to the basic K2 game, in which players' task is to smoothly guide the team of two climbers to climb as close as possible to the summit. The supplement includes an alternative, two-sided board and new weather tiles. The extension also introduces a completely new mechanics - rail rope tokens, which allow you to set your own routes.

With the extension K2: Lhotse, you can play two different scenarios using the two-sided board.

The first scenario is a demanding and strategic duel with time and weather. The board showing the southern wall is divided not only in height, but also in three vertical sectors, dividing it into the eastern, central and western parts. The new set of weather tiles will indicate a different aura depending on the sector. In addition to the player's toolkit, the ropes of the railing rope have been added, thanks to which players will be able to set up new routes between already known routes. Ropes will enable a more efficient escape from bad weather or deadly landslides.

The second scenario is a fast race to the top of Lhotse, from the safer side, the southern pass, which is also the easiest way to Everest. Players will have fewer cards at their disposal, as they will have to discard 3 of them at the very beginning. But beware - the better cards they discard, the more extra points they will receive at the end of the game! Additionally, in this scenario, the passage of time becomes even more important: the climb will last only 15 days, so players will have to hurry up their way to the top.
